Semicircle "clearing" progress

This had a fair amount of dead trees lying here, and one day they were gone.

Mystery vapor trail

Fri 21Aug2020, 6:20am

I swear I saw this getting longer as I walked, as though something was falling.

About a half mile closer, and 10 min later, it was very dissipated. (It's directly above the short tree.)

Returned to original location, can't see it at all.
But what a pretty photo.

Wed 9Sep; I've been trying to get a decent shot of these bldgs for a while.
Lights on top go off by timer, or when sun is bright enough.

Tue 18Aug 5:40am

All below are from Mon 17Aug, before 7am. Another 15min after the last one (top one here), and all the pink was gone. Unfortunately, this was probably so colorful because of the forest fires in Riverside.

The trees aren't really golden; it's the bright, focused sunlight.

The photo doesn't do the color justice. This was really striking.

Random stuff

Sun 30Aug; compare with prior photo below.
Same spot, different angle; much more algae.

Wed 26Aug. The algae is active!

Sun 23Aug, 6:27am. Yes, it's algae, but it's such a pretty green.
And notice some of the shrubs are bright green too.
The un-edited photo shows the water source.
We have a couple of other algae ponds upstream,
but not so vibrant, and/or accessible to the camera.

Walking in the bike path gives a different perspective. Fri 21Aug2020 6:52am

I always walk UP this hill. Today I turned around and liked this perspective.

Broken trees are pretty too
