Thu 5Nov: saw one on south side of trail, between Valley Oak and Sand Canyon. He ran among some birds in ponds. Too far to photograph.
Sat 3Oct: saw one on north side of trail, well west of Valley Oak. Too far to photograph.

| Sat 22Aug. He's reflecting on the treasure he wanted on the trail, interrupted by a bike. I was really impressed when he backed up to gain speed to climb the embankment. Saw one a week ago Fri on the Edison fields near Laser, but it was too dark & too far to get a photo. |
